Heather Daymond launched Shut Ur Pie Hole on March 14, 2014 - on National Pi Day, of course.

A sassy single mother of two transformed her love of pie into a business with an equally sassy name. While standard pie sizes are available and equally delicious, Shut Ur Pie Hole specializes in individual pies in little mason jars in a variety of flavours.

The concept came to Heather when she was shopping for baking supplies one afternoon. She noticed decorative mason jars and wondered if she could use them instead of pie plates. After a little experimenting, she perfected the technique and, like most foodies, posted a photo on social media. The reaction from her followers was unanimous – “More, please!” 

Heather attributes her love of baking pies to her grandma and her mom who handed down their family recipes and taught her how to make the lightest and flakiest pastry.
